FestiBad is a project initiated by BWF as part of its Dakar YOG 2026 legacy project. The travelling event is being run with the support of Olympic Solidarity, and in collaboration with the Senegal federation. It combines introductory sessions, fun activities, training programs (Shuttle Time Teachers and Youth Leadership), and talent scouting, in a way that is both sporting, educational, and inclusive.
BWF conducted two activities in Dakar at the end of 2025, with the 14-16 November leg held in Leopold Sedar Senghon Stadium and the December leg held at CNEPS sports centre in Thiès.
The November 2025 activity saw 20 Shuttle Time teachers trained, while the Youth Leadership course had 130 participants, including 115 students and 15 athletes from other federations. The Leadership and engagement workshops attracted 300 participants and seven Presidents of other federations.
The December leg had 1000 participants, with the Youth Leadership programme training 16 people. One of the outcomes was the partnerships with academies and schools.
