Study on Efficacy of Shuttle Time

July 3, 2025

Having completed a decade of Shuttle Time, Iran Badminton Federation has commissioned a study on the effects of the programme in increasing the number of players among the public.

It was in 2015 that Shuttle Time was first rolled out in the country; since then, an average of 10 Shuttle Time courses have been held every year. In the 10th year of the programme (2024), the federation decided to run a study on the effectiveness of Shuttle Time in encouraging more people to play the sport.

The study, led by National Shuttle Time Coordinator Dr Fariba Madadi, will conduct the study in five provinces where Shuttle Time has been held. Further, feedback on the courses will be sought through questionnaires.

Dr Fariba noted: “Fortunately, regarding the holding of Shuttle Time Tutor in Iran during previous years, and the acceptance of our native Shuttle Time Tutors in this course, we did not have any difficulty in holding these courses. We have regularly held the Shuttle Time courses. In 2024, in addition to holding the Shuttle Time Course, we have decided to run this project study and we will send the result of this project at the end of 2025. We have in mind to hold a new Shuttle Time Tutor Course for training new tutors with the support of Badminton Asia.”
